Sonic the hedgehog is one of the most memorable gaming characters over the last two decades and has influenced generations of addicts. With the aid of a Chaos Emerald, Sonic can move past the barriers of time and space while seven Chaos Emeralds whereby he becomes Dark spine Sonic in which he changes his usual blue form into a purple one.

However Sonic is not entirely invincible as he has his own share of weakness and flaws. One of his biggest flaw is his inability to swim in water whereby he sinks like a stone to the bottom of the surface, But as usual, there is an exception to this case and that is when Sonic is in full speed by which he can race through water without any fear of sinking. Sonic is also portrayed as sensitive, emotional, street smart, impatient and short-tempered. In Sonic games, Sonic is homicidal as often loses his powers in a Special Zone while the latest Sonic games series which are due to the be released this year Sonic turns into a werewolf.

Sonic is not alone and has the company of his girlfriend Amy Rose and his robotic twin Metal Sonic.
